…You understand my thought from afar. Psalm 139:2 (AMP)
Aside from being aware of our thoughts, our Father comprehends them. We don’t always know why we think the way we do, but He knows why, for better or for worse. This is proof of His unfailing compassion, because our thought process is often faulty, based on experiences and perceptions that are influenced by words and events. But if He understands them, then He understands us and He can correct our perception and thought process, allowing us to see ourselves, others and our circumstances through His eyes.
His thoughts towards us are of love, peace and well-being, they are thoughts of hope (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP). Let us exchange our thoughts for His and begin to manifest the peace and hope decreed by His word.
Prayer/Journal: Father, please shape my perception so that my thoughts are in line with Your Word. May I return to the thoughts that are pure, honest and just; thoughts that will bring virtue to my life and praise to Your name. Since you understand my thoughts, you know what influences my mindset, please transform my mind so that there will be a shift in the way that I think and perceive my experiences.
Today, let the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight!
